I am sure that all of you have been as outraged as I am every time the Obama Administration presents us with another pork-laden, socialist-leaning bill. Do not be fooled – this is an agenda; an agenda that HAS NOTHING TO DO with current events, the failing economy, much less what is best for our country as it exists. This agenda seeks to totally change the structure of our society. This is an agenda that is not new; it is an organized, crafted, many-armed agenda and to fully understand the platform of Barak Obama and the liberal-left wing of the Democratic Party, first you have to understand their agenda and their core beliefs. We will get to Nancy Pelosi later!
First of all, lets look at some of the programs that Obama has presented us. Yesterday, underneath all of the chest-thumping and fake outrage of the Left over AIG and the bonuses, a bill was passed in the House known as the “Volunteerism Bill”, formally known as the GIVE Act; it calls for mandatory volunteer service by our young. I can just see the Hitler Youth goose-stepping down the street, looking for enviro-criminals. Sure, it sounds good on the surface, but you have to look beneath the surface to see the junk that is hidden in the bill. Remember, they are planning to make this mandatory. Where did this insanity come from? Who’s idea was this?
Speaking of ideas, I think we were all stunned and mystified when the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, better known as the stimulus package or "porkulus", was crafted seemingly almost overnight. This package was presented to us as a “infrastructure”, shovel-ready, blah, blah, blah, stimulate-the-economy package. Our representatives were bullied and rushed around to get this abomination passed. What we got was a pork-laden bill full of silly, absurd, and ridiculous wish-list of Leftist junk, which basically had nothing to do with stimulating the economy. Granted some of the projects were solid projects; my own hometown can boast about the $100,000.00 worth of door-bells some genius (no one will admit to it) tucked into it.
But the basic question is: How did all of the crafters of this package actually agree on all of these provisions and then flesh out the package without a huge fight on C-SPAN? These are people who are driven by special interests and crony-driven agendas. How did porkulus evolve?
